Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Production Planner to join their operations team in Bristol . This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and timely execution of production schedules, balancing demand with manufacturing capacity. You will work closely with various departments, including sales, procurement, and production, to optimize resource allocation and meet delivery commitments. The ideal candidate possesses strong planning skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production plans and schedules based on sales forecasts, orders, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Monitor production progress against schedules, identifying and resolving any deviations or delays.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to optimize line efficiency and resource utilization.
• Maintain accurate records of production plans, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Communicate production status updates to relevant stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar planning role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production planning principles, MRP systems, and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using planning software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
