Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent and organized Production Planner to join their manufacturing team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is crucial for ensuring that production schedules are optimized to meet customer demand while efficiently utilizing available resources and materials. You will work closely with production, procurement, and sales departments to create realistic and achievable production plans, minimizing lead times and maximizing throughput. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints, contributing to the smooth operation of our client's factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, order priorities, and resource availability.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address unforeseen issues or changes in demand.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Collaborate with the production floor to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate records of production plans and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar planning role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling principles and techniques.
• Proficiency with production planning software or ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to lia interact effectively with various departments.
