About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to join their dynamic team in Leeds . In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules that optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure timely delivery of products. You will work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to balance demand, capacity, and inventory levels. Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed production schedules, considering machine capacity, labor availability, and material lead times.
- Monitor production progress against schedules, proactively identifying and addressing deviations and potential delays.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Manage inventory levels of finished goods and work-in-progress to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Communicate production plans and updates to relevant stakeholders across different departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
