Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to join their dynamic team in Leeds . Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed production schedules, considering machine capacity, labor availability, and material lead times.
• Monitor production progress against schedules, proactively identifying and addressing deviations and potential delays.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Manage inventory levels of finished goods and work-in-progress to meet production targets and customer demand.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Communicate production plans and updates to relevant stakeholders across different departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
