Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Production Planner to join their manufacturing operations in Bradford . This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of production by creating detailed schedules that align with customer demand, material availability, and resource capacity. You will work closely with sales, procurement, and production teams to optimize schedules, minimize lead times, and ensure timely delivery of finished goods. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of production planning principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer orders.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Monitor production progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules in response to delays or changes in priorities.
• Collaborate with the production floor to understand capacity constraints and operational realities.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for efficiency improvements in scheduling.
• Communicate production status and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Previous experience in production planning , scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in the Bradford manufacturing sector.
