About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Production Shift Supervisor to join their manufacturing facility in Birmingham . In this role, you will supervise a specific shift, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for guiding the production team, troubleshooting operational issues, and maintaining high standards of quality and output. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership and a keen eye for detail in a demanding production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure production targets are achieved in terms of volume, quality, and timeliness.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and company policies among the shift team.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to production operators.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for shift activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production setting.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations in a factory environment.
