Production Shift Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and proactive Production Shift Supervisor to join their dynamic manufacturing facility in Birmingham, West Midlands . You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific shift, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate a team to maintain high standards of output and quality. You will play a crucial part in the day-to-day success of the production line, working collaboratively with other supervisors and department managers to streamline processes and resolve operational challenges promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff during your assigned shift.
• Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, safety regulations , and quality standards.
• Monitor production equipment and processes, identifying and addressing any operational issues or deviations.
• Train and guide new team members on production procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate production records and report on shift performance to management.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality control procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• Awareness of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
