Production Supervisor - FMCG Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations within their FMCG facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This hands-on role is critical for ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of production operatives, manage daily operations, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing best practices and a passion for driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of production line staff, fostering a culture of high performance and teamwork.
• Monitor production output, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maximize efficiency.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in good working order and operated safely.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output, waste, and downtime.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce operational costs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or Team Leader, preferably in the FMCG manufacturing sector.
• Strong understanding of food or consumer goods production processes and quality control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts if required, in addition to standard working hours.
