Production Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to lead and manage daily operations at their manufacturing plant in Belfast . This role is critical for ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely, while maintaining high standards of quality. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of production operatives, coordinating shift activities, and troubleshooting any issues that arise on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a practical understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team to meet output targets.
• Ensure all production activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor production performance, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Train, motivate, and manage the performance of production staff.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes and machinery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Reside in or be able to commute to Belfast .
