About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Production Systems Engineer to contribute to their manufacturing operations in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of production systems to enhance efficiency, throughput, and product quality. You will work closely with production teams and management to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that align with lean manufacturing principles. This is a hands-on role for an engineer eager to make a direct impact on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve production line layouts, workflows, and material handling systems.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, proposing and implementing solutions.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
- Oversee the integration of new equipment and technologies into the production environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Implement lean manufacturing and 5S principles to enhance workplace organization and efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of production systems, lean principles, and process optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD software and data analysis tools.
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies like Root Cause Analysis.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
