About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Production Systems Engineer to remotely optimize and improve their manufacturing production systems. This role is critical for enhancing operational efficiency, product quality, and safety across various production lines. You will leverage your expertise in industrial engineering principles to analyze production data, design system enhancements, and implement solutions that drive significant performance gains. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytical, and experienced in working collaboratively with distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing production systems and processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement enhancements to production layouts, workflows, and equipment utilization.
- Utilize statistical methods and data analysis tools to monitor production performance and identify root causes of issues.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate virtually with on-site production teams, management, and maintenance staff to ensure successful implementation of improvements.
- Research and recommend new technologies or methodologies to improve production system performance and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in production environments.
- Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with CAD software and simulation tools is a plus.
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
