Production Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Production Team Leader to guide their manufacturing operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate a team, ensure production targets are met efficiently and safely, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a production line or section, fostering a positive and productive team culture. This is a vital position for maintaining operational excellence in a key industrial area of Staffordshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of production operatives, providing clear direction and support.
• Monitor production performance, ensuring targets for volume, quality, and efficiency are achieved.
• Implement and enforce company policies, including health, safety, and quality procedures.
• Conduct team briefings, provide on-the-job training, and support the development of team members.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating to management when necessary.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes and working methods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Good understanding of production processes, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
