Production Team Leader / Fabrication Team Leader

Abatec is recruiting a Production Team Leader, Fabrication Team Leader or Manufacturing Team Leader for a manufacturing company based in Yatton, North Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator, assembly operative or production supervisor looking to progress into a hands-on leadership position.

Extensive fabrication experience is ESSENTIAL, ideally within windows and doors manufacturing. Candidates must have the practical experience, confidence and attitude to support and lead a small production team.

Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience is advantageous but not essential for someone with the right technical background and leadership potential.

The Role – Production Team Leader

Working within a busy manufacturing and fabrication environment, you will support the daily running of a small production assembly team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Duties will include:

• Leading, supporting and motivating a small production team

• Allocating daily workloads and monitoring production targets

• Carrying out hands-on fabrication, assembly and manufacturing work

• Supporting windows and doors fabrication and manufacturing processes

• Using cutting machinery, saws, hand tools and power tools

• Monitoring product quality, accuracy and finished components

• Training and supporting team members

• Liaising with stores and production teams regarding materials and priorities

What we're looking for

• Extensive fabrication experience is essential

• Ideally experience within windows and doors fabrication or manufacturing

• Strong background in manufacturing, production assembly or metal fabrication

• Previous experience as a Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor, Assembly Team Leader or Senior Fabricator is desirable but not essential

• Confidence and the right attitude to lead, support and motivate a small team

• Experience using hand tools, power tools and cutting machinery

• Good attention to detail and quality standards

• Ability to organise workloads and maintain production output

• A practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing and team leadership.

This role would suit an experienced Fabricator, Senior Fabricator, Assembly Operative or Manufacturing Operative who is ready to progress into a Production Team Leader position.

Working Hours & Location

• Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm

• Occasional flexibility required for rotating shifts of 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm

• Based in Yatton, North Somerset
