About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and ambitious Project Architect to lead key projects from inception to completion from their Sunderland office. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the design and construction process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of design quality. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent leadership and technical skills, who can effectively coordinate project teams and client liaison. Key Responsibilities

Oversee the complete lifecycle of architectural projects, from concept design to post-completion evaluation.
Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project duration.
Coordinate and lead internal design teams and external consultants to achieve project objectives.
Ensure all designs comply with current building regulations, planning policies, and health and safety legislation.
Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, identifying and mitigating risks.
Review and approve construction drawings, specifications, and site progress reports.

Requirements

Fully qualified Architect with RIBA or equivalent accreditation.
Significant experience (5+ years) in managing architectural projects from start to finish.
Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of UK planning law, building regulations, and construction best practices.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated experience in client management and team coordination within an office setting in Sunderland .
