About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Architect to manage a variety of architectural projects within their Sunderland studio. This role requires a proactive individual who can oversee projects from initial client engagement through to final handover, ensuring successful outcomes in terms of design quality, budget, and timeline adherence. You will be responsible for coordinating project teams, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a significant opportunity for a skilled architect to take on greater responsibility and influence project delivery in the Sunderland region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of architectural projects, from inception and design development to construction and completion.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, including architects, technologists, and external consultants.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns.
- Ensure strict adherence to building regulations, planning policies, and quality standards throughout the project.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and resolve on-site issues effectively.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with relevant professional experience in project management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including CAD and BIM tools.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, planning procedures, and construction contracts.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to foster positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
