Project Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and ambitious Project Architect to lead exciting new ventures from their Leeds office. This role offers the chance to manage projects through their full lifecycle, from initial client engagement and conceptual design to detailed construction drawings and site supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest design standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated architect to take ownership of significant projects within a supportive and growth-oriented firm, contributing to the architectural landscape of Leeds and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage architectural projects from inception to completion, acting as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Develop design concepts and produce detailed architectural drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Oversee the tendering process and manage construction phases, including site visits and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, planning policies, and health and safety legislation.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the architectural team.

Requirements

• RIBA Part III qualification or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential, with experience in other design software being an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in managing architectural projects and leading project teams.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and UK building codes.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• A robust portfolio showcasing successful project delivery.
