Project Manager - New Product Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Manager to lead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives within their innovative, fully remote organization. You will play a critical role in guiding new products from ideation through to successful market launch, coordinating the efforts of diverse teams including engineering, design, marketing, and sales. This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of managing complex project timelines and budgets in a distributed work environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in bringing new products to market, understanding the full product lifecycle and driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire lifecycle of new product development projects, ensuring timely and successful product launches.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining product requirements, setting timelines, allocating resources, and managing budgets.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales, operations) in a fully remote setting.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, ensuring smooth product development progress.
• Facilitate clear and concise communication among all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and milestones.
• Ensure product development activities adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company strategic goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management , with a strong emphasis on New Product Development (NPD).
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple complex product development projects from concept to launch.
• Strong understanding of product development methodologies, market analysis, and go-to-market strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive and lead teams effectively in a fully remote work environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; PMP or relevant product management certification is a plus.
