Project Manager, Product Development

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Project Manager, Product Development to join their innovative team in Edinburgh . This role focuses on managing the entire lifecycle of new product development projects, from concept through to market launch. You will work closely with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to ensure that new products meet market needs, are delivered on time, and adhere to quality standards and budget constraints. This is a crucial role for driving product innovation and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of new product development projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient product development.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate communication and collaboration among engineering, marketing, sales, and manufacturing departments.
• Ensure product quality standards and regulatory compliance are met at all stages.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in project management , specifically within product development or NPI (New Product Introduction).
• Familiarity with product development processes and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of market analysis and customer needs assessment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
