About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects within the esteemed academic environment of Oxford . This role involves managing diverse projects, which could range from infrastructure upgrades and IT system implementations to research support initiatives. You will work closely with university departments, faculty, and external contractors to ensure the successful and efficient delivery of projects that enhance the university's operational capabilities and academic mission. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills to navigate a complex stakeholder landscape within a non-profit, educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and closure of university projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with various university departments, external vendors, and service providers.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Project Manager , preferably within a university or higher education setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a complex organisational environment.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
