- Oversee procurement activities, including the management of long-lead equipment, materials and supplier performance.
- Attend and lead client, contractor and project meetings, maintaining strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Identify, price, negotiate and recover project variations and additional works while supporting commercial and contractual discussions.
- Maintain accurate project risk, procurement and variation registers, proactively identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Coordinate design development, technical submissions and the resolution of design and engineering queries.
- Manage testing, commissioning, witness testing, snagging and defect resolution to ensure systems are fully operational and compliant.
- Oversee project handover activities, including the preparation and submission of O&M manuals and completion documentation.
About You
- Experienced delivering multiple projects involving a wide range of systems including addressable and conventional fire alarms, life-safety and fire detection systems, voice alarm/PA-VA systems, emergency voice communication systems, disabled refuge and distress alarms, evacuation alert systems, aspirating smoke detection, fire suppression interfaces, access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, door entry/intercom systems and integrated fire and security solutions.
- Commercially minded – understands project costs, margins, variations and contractual obligations.
- Technically capable – able to understand fire and security systems and confidently coordinate technical issues.
- Organised – capable of managing several projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Client focused – professional and confident when dealing with clients and contractors.
- Proactive – identifies problems before they become project issues and takes ownership of finding solutions.
- Accountable – takes responsibility for project performance and follows issues through to completion.
