Property Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Property Development Manager to oversee exciting new projects in the Reading area and beyond. This hybrid role requires a blend of site visits and strategic planning conducted from the office or home. You will be responsible for managing the entire development lifecycle, from site acquisition and feasibility studies to planning, construction, and final handover. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the development process, excellent project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex planning regulations within the Berkshire property market . This is a challenging yet rewarding position for an experienced professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential development sites, conducting feasibility studies and financial appraisals.
• Manage the planning application process, liaising with local authorities and consultants.
• Appoint and manage contractors and consultants throughout the construction phase.
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and quality control to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing teams for the successful launch and sale of developed properties.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in property development project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, planning law, and contractual agreements.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial analysis.
• Ability to manage tasks effectively across remote and office-based work .
