About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Property Development Manager to lead exciting new projects in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of property development, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to planning, construction, and final sale or letting. You will work with a variety of stakeholders, including architects, planners, contractors, and local authorities, to deliver high-quality developments that meet commercial objectives and contribute positively to the Stoke-on-Trent landscape. Your project management skills and understanding of the development process will be key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential development opportunities, conducting feasibility studies and market research.
- Manage the acquisition of land and properties, including negotiation and due diligence.
- Oversee the planning application process, liaising with local authorities and consultants.
- Appoint and manage consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the development process.
- Control project budgets, timelines, and quality to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage the sales or letting of developed properties, working with agents where necessary.
Requirements
- Significant experience in property development project management.
- Strong understanding of the planning system, construction processes, and contract management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
- A degree in a relevant field such as Real Estate, Construction Management, or Urban Planning is highly desirable.
