Property Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Development Manager to lead exciting new projects in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. This hands-on role involves overseeing all phases of the property development lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and land acquisition to construction management and project completion. You will be instrumental in driving profitable development projects, managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships. This is a site-centric role requiring a strong presence on development projects, working closely with architects, contractors, and local authorities to bring ambitious visions to life within the vibrant Scottish capital.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential development sites and opportunities in the Edinburgh market.
• Manage the entire development process, including planning applications, design development, and obtaining necessary permits.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants throughout the development lifecycle.
• Conduct financial feasibility studies, cost estimations, and risk assessments for proposed developments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, planning policies, and health and safety legislation.

Requirements

• Proven track record in property development , project management, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of the property development process, construction methods, and planning regulations in Scotland .
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and feasibility analysis.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• A relevant degree in Property Development, Construction Management, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
