About the Role
Our client is searching for an experienced and politically astute Public Affairs Advisor to join their team in Bradford . This role is critical for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to the political and regulatory landscape affecting the organization. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, industry bodies, and key stakeholders to advocate for the company's interests. This position offers the chance to shape policy and influence public opinion, working within a dynamic environment that values strategic insight and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor parliamentary activity, government policy developments, and relevant legislation impacting the organization.
- Develop and implement strategies to influence policy and public affairs at local and national levels.
- Build and nurture relationships with MPs, Peers, civil servants, and other key decision-makers.
- Prepare briefings, consultation responses, and policy papers.
- Represent the organization at relevant industry events and forums.
- Advise senior management on public affairs issues and potential risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in public affairs , government relations, or a similar policy-focused role.
- Strong understanding of the UK political system and legislative processes.
- Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy campaigns.
