About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Manager to spearhead communication strategies from our Leicester office. You will be responsible for enhancing the company's public image and ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all platforms. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive PR campaigns that align with business objectives, fostering strong relationships with media outlets, and managing corporate communications during critical periods. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in media relations and crisis management, contributing significantly to brand visibility and reputation building in the competitive media and PR landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other key media stakeholders.
- Write and distribute compelling press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
- Manage media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and prepare spokespeople for public appearances.
- Monitor media coverage, analyze campaign effectiveness, and provide regular reports on PR activities.
- Oversee crisis communication efforts, providing timely and accurate information to the public and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public relations or communications role, preferably within an agency or in-house team.
- Proven success in developing and executing impactful PR campaigns and securing media coverage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
- Strong understanding of media relations, social media platforms, and current PR trends.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously in Leicester .
