Pump Engineer

Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer Location: South East London Paying: £40,000 - £45,000 w/ Van and Fuel Card + Overtime/Call Out Job Type: Permanent We are looking for an experienced and motivated Pump Engineer to join a succesful contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of pumping equipment, with a particular focus on commercial booster sets and sewage pump systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial and booster pump sets on social housing estates.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on booster, sewage and wastewater pumping stations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on pumps, motors, control panels and associated equipment.
• Carry out pump installations, replacements and commissioning.
• Inspect, test and maintain pump systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Complete service reports, job sheets and maintenance records.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns and planned preventative maintenance visits.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Pump Engineer or similar mechanical/electrical engineering role.
• Good working knowledge of booster sets and sewage pumps.
• Experience fault-finding on single and three-phase electrical systems.
• Knowledge of pump controls, inverters and control panels.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Full UK driving license
