About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to support their procurement function in Belfast . This part-time role is crucial for the smooth operation of the purchasing department, involving the processing of purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with suppliers and internal departments. You will be an essential support to the purchasing team, ensuring administrative tasks are completed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall procurement process and upholding the company's commitment to operational excellence and timely supply of necessary goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders accurately in the system.
- Maintain and update supplier records and contract information.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery dates, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of purchasing reports and data analysis.
- Handle general administrative duties for the purchasing department.
- Respond to internal and external queries regarding purchasing activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing support role is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems is a plus.
