Job Description
Brook Street Recruitment is excited to be supporting a well-established and growing business in Bradford with the recruitment of a Purchasing Administrator.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual who enjoys working with suppliers, managing information and ensuring products are delivered on time. Candidates must have experience in a purchasing role.
The Role
- Full time Perm position
- Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am- 5:00pm
- Salary on offer: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

You will be responsible for:
- Raising, updating and maintaining purchase orders on the internal system
- Checking supplier order confirmations and accurately updating expected delivery dates
- Monitoring open purchase orders and ensuring information remains up to date
- Chasing suppliers for order updates, delivery schedules and outstanding confirmations
- Liaising with UK and international suppliers via email and telephone
- Maintaining accurate records of supplier updates and order status
- Supporting the wider team with stock availability information and delivery schedules
- Highlighting any risks, delays or supply issues and escalating where necessary
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and keen to learn.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous administration experience within purchasing, procurement, supply chain or a related environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing purchase orders and supplier communications
- Confidence working with data, systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive and team-focused approach
- The ability to prioritise workloads and remain organised in a fast-paced environment
