About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Purchasing Administrator to support their procurement activities in Edinburgh . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the purchasing department, handling essential administrative tasks, and liaising with suppliers and internal teams. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, managing correspondence, and assisting with general procurement administration. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills, and a proactive approach to supporting the wider team. Key Responsibilities
- Process and track purchase orders from initiation to completion.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all purchasing activities and supplier information.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery dates, and pricing.
- Liaise with internal departments to clarify purchasing requirements and resolve queries.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and conduct basic data analysis related to spend.
- Support the purchasing team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within purchasing or finance.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
