QEHS Manager (Engineering / Facilities) - Join a 5‑Star Operation

An award-winning, 5‑star engineering services business is hiring a QEHS Manager to take full ownership of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety across a fast-moving operational environment.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with real influence: you'll set the standards, shape the culture, and drive continuous improvement across engineering, maintenance, projects and client-site delivery. You'll work closely with Directors and operational leaders, but you'll also be visible on the ground-making sure the right controls are in place and actually working.

The Opportunity

You'll lead the QEHS function end-to-end, ensuring the business is compliant, audit-ready and continually improving. You'll be the go-to advisor for risk, best practice and standards-balancing robust governance with practical solutions that support delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

Leadership & Strategy

Own and develop the QEHS function, setting standards, priorities and improvement plans Act as the lead QEHS advisor to Directors and senior management-confidently influencing and challenging when needed Build a proactive QEHS culture where "safe and right-first-time" is how work is doneCompliance, Systems & Audit

Ensure compliance with applicable Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and standards (incl. Irish H&S requirements) Maintain and continually improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) and QEHS framework Lead ISO, client and regulatory audits/inspections-driving corrective actions through to close-outRisk, Operations & Site Support

Drive effective operational risk management including RAMS, MSOPs, SOPs, risk assessments and safe systems of work Embed QEHS into project planning, mobilisation, reactive works and higher-risk / non-routine activity Lead accident/incident/near-miss investigations using root cause analysis and CAPA, identifying trends and lessons learned Run a strong programme of site inspections and audits with clear ownership and follow-throughTraining, Reporting & Records

Own the training and competency framework, including toolbox talks and safety communications Control and maintain QEHS documentation and digital records (policies, RAMS, inspections, training, incidents, compliance) Develop meaningful QEHS KPIs and reporting-giving leadership real visibility of risk, performance and prioritiesStakeholder Management

Engage confidently with clients, contractors, auditors and regulatory bodies on QEHS matters

What We're Looking For

Recognised qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or related discipline) Strong QEHS experience in engineering, FM, construction, building services or similar Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and regulatory expectations Proven capability across RAMS, audits, investigations, corrective actions, and risk management Experience working with ISO standards and integrated management systems Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills-credible with frontline teams and senior leaders alike Practical, organised and outcomes-focused: you take ownership and drive actions to completion

The Person

You're visible, calm under pressure, and you bring structure without slowing operations down. You know how to win trust on-site, but you're equally comfortable in front of Directors, clients and auditors. You spot risk early, act decisively, and raise standards without creating noise.
