QS / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our Dorset based construction client is seeking a bright, enthusiastic, proactive and highly organised NEC qualified Quantity Surveyor/Senior QS to join their friendly team with full support. The ideal candidate will need to come from a contractor background and take commercial responsibility of a number of NEC projects varying in value from £500,000 to over £5 million dealing with mainly Tier 1 contractors, projects are dotted around the south coast, home counties and London regions and are diversified ranging from MOD projects to data centres and HS2.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing Tender and Contract documents
• Preparing Bills of Quantities
• Risk Management and Cost Control
• Sub Contractor Work Allocation
• Preparing Accurate Progress Reports
• Completed Work Valuations and Payments Key Experience and Requirements:
• Ideally a minimum 5-7 years Quantity Surveying experience
• You will have experience of previously working within the same or similar role
• Degree qualified (or moving towards professional membership) is preferable but not essential
• NEC working experience will be a distinct advantage
• This role may suit a QS seeking their next move into a more senior role OR a Senior QS looking to progression into commercial management.
