Qualified Audit & Accounts Senior

TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a growing and ambitious accountancy practice in Chichester with the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join their Audit & Assurance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant who is looking for more than simply their next role. The position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of owner managed businesses, charities and not for profit organisations, providing the opportunity to broaden your technical experience while developing your commercial, client management and leadership skills.

With a strong focus on developing talent from within, this role offers a genuine pathway towards increased responsibility and progression into management. For the right individual, there is also support available towards achieving RI status.

The Opportunity

Working closely with senior members of the team, you will play an important role in delivering high quality audit, assurance and accounts services to a varied client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering audit assignments from initial planning through to completion.

Preparing and reviewing audit files in line with professional and regulatory standards.

Conducting audit fieldwork and identifying opportunities to improve clients' processes and controls.

Preparing statutory accounts.

Working directly with clients and developing strong, trusted professional relationships.

Supporting businesses, charities and not for profit organisations with their sector specific reporting requirements.

Collaborating with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver an excellent client experience.

Taking increasing responsibility for client engagements as your experience develops.

Providing coaching, mentoring and technical support to junior members of the team.

Taking an active role in the development of junior colleagues, building the foundations for future management responsibility.

This is a particularly attractive opportunity for a recently qualified or newly qualified accountant who wants to accelerate their career rather than simply move into another audit position.

RequirementsWe are keen to speak with individuals who are:

ACA or ACCA qualified, or recently qualified.

Experienced within audit, with audit experience being essential.

Looking to accelerate their development and broaden their experience.

Ambitious, enthusiastic and keen to take on additional responsibility.

Strong communicators who enjoy working directly with clients.

Commercially aware, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Organised, detail focused and committed to delivering high quality work.

Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a close knit team.

Interested in developing their management and leadership skills.

Previous experience working with charities or not for profit organisations would be advantageous, although this is not essential. The firm is particularly keen to develop the right individual with an interest in this specialist and rewarding sector.

BenefitsIf you are an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with audit experience and are looking for a role where you can broaden your technical exposure, develop your leadership skills and work towards a genuine management career path, this could be an excellent opportunity.

TPF Recruitment would be delighted to speak with you confidentially about the role and provide further information about the practice, team and opportunity.
