Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives at their manufacturing site in Plymouth . This critical role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality management system to ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. You will oversee the QA team, conduct audits, manage non-conformance, and drive continuous improvement across all production processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing guidance and fostering professional development.
• Oversee all quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and process monitoring.
• Manage the non-conformance and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify root causes of defects and implement effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean), and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with auditing processes and root cause analysis techniques.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
