Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality systems in Plymouth . This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality assurance programs to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards. You will lead a team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with all departments to embed a strong quality culture throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Oversee all quality assurance activities, including audits, inspections, and process validation.
• Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and other departments to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management within manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with internal and external auditing processes.
