Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to join their product development team in Leeds . This role is vital for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks. You will work closely with developers and QA analysts to create efficient, scalable, and maintainable automated test suites. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of QA methodologies, programming skills for automation, and a passion for delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects with clear, concise documentation.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify testing needs and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Participate in the review of requirements, design specifications, and test plans to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Continuously research and recommend improvements to automation processes and tools.
• Contribute to the overall quality assurance strategy and advocate for best practices in software testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in QA automation and testing.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for test automation.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
• Understanding of QA methodologies, bug tracking systems, and test management tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
