Quality Control Analyst - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and technically proficient Quality Control Analyst to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Leeds . This role is crucial for ensuring the consistent quality and safety of manufactured drug products by performing rigorous analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. You will operate within a highly regulated environment, adhering strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company quality standards. This hands-on position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong analytical skills to contribute directly to the production of life-saving medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and titration.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards required for analytical testing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Document all testing activities, results, and deviations meticulously in accordance with GMP and company SOPs.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities for new analytical procedures.
• Review and approve analytical data, investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry .
• Hands-on experience with common analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, dissolution apparatus, and Karl Fischer titrators.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory safety principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
