Quality Control Analyst - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst for their pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Leeds . This role is essential for ensuring that all manufactured pharmaceutical products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements before release to the market. You will perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, contributing directly to the safety and efficacy of our client's medicines. This is a vital position within the quality assurance framework, ensuring product integrity and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy).
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Accurately document all testing activities, results, and deviations in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and internal procedures.
• Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and assist in determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for released products.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, dissolution apparatus, and Karl Fischer titrators.
• Solid understanding of GMP, ICH guidelines, and pharmacopoeial standards (e.g., USP, EP).
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment in Leeds and adhere to strict safety protocols.
