Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join their manufacturing facility in Leeds . In this essential role, you will perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and specifications. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and efficacy of the medications produced by our client, upholding their commitment to excellence in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This hands-on position requires precision, adherence to protocols, and a strong understanding of analytical techniques within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and non-routine analytical testing using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, Karl Fischer).
• Prepare reagents, samples, and standards accurately for analytical testing.
• Document all testing activities meticulously in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems, ensuring data integrity.
• Perform method validation and transfer activities as required.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
• Participate in investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) results and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven experience (1-3 years) as a Quality Control Analyst in the pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation, particularly HPLC and GC.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical quality control principles and GMP guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
