About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee all aspects of quality assurance for their manufacturing operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to ensure products consistently meet internal and external standards. This role requires a deep understanding of quality control methodologies and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact production. You will lead a dedicated quality team, fostering a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust quality control procedures and standards across all production lines.
- Manage and mentor the quality control team, providing training and performance feedback.
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with production, R&D, and procurement teams to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the handling of customer complaints related to product quality and ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant industry standards.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and quality control techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing remote and on-site responsibilities.
