Quality Control Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee all quality assurance and control activities at their prominent manufacturing site in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical in maintaining the superior quality of our products, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement in quality management systems. You will lead a dedicated team of quality inspectors and technicians, fostering a culture where quality is paramount and integrated into every stage of the production process. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control systems and procedures.
• Oversee all incoming, in-process, and final product inspections and testing activities.
• Manage and mentor the quality control team, providing training and performance feedback.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D departments to resolve quality issues and improve product design and manufacturability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality control or quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, statistical process control (SPC), and testing methodologies.
• Experience with quality management software and tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements within the manufacturing sector is highly desirable for this Newcastle upon Tyne -based position.
