Quality Manager – Engineering & Manufacturing
The Opportunity
An established engineering and manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of quality standards, compliance and continuous improvement across its operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Quality Manager who enjoys being hands-on within a manufacturing environment, driving improvements and working closely with production and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
*
Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant customer quality requirements.
*
Lead internal and external audits, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions.
*
Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and quality issues through structured root cause analysis.
*
Drive improvements in product quality, manufacturing processes and inspection procedures.
*
Work closely with engineering, production and operational teams to improve quality performance.
*
Monitor quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
*
Manage supplier quality concerns and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
*
Develop a proactive quality culture throughout the business.
About You
*
Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
*
Experience managing audits, non-conformances and corrective actions.
*
Good understanding of engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing processes.
*
Familiarity with root cause analysis, 8D, 5 Why and continuous improvement methodologies.
*
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the confidence to challenge existing processes.
*
A practical, solutions-focused approach to quality management.
