Quality Systems Engineer
Infinity Employment is recruiting for an experienced Quality Systems Engineer to join an established manufacturing organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 who enjoys taking ownership of quality processes, internal auditing and continuous improvement.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and continually improving the company’s Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
The Role
As Quality Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and administering the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)
- Ensuring quality procedures, policies, processes and records comply with ISO 9001 requirements
- Managing controlled documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms and quality manuals
- Supporting the development and improvement of departmental processes and procedures
- Planning and conducting internal quality audits
- Supporting external certification and customer audits
- Monitoring corrective actions and continuous improvement activities
- Maintaining internal audit schedules and audit records
- Monitoring and reporting on quality KPIs, trends, non-conformities, customer complaints and audit findings
- Providing ISO 9001 awareness and QMS training to employees
- Supporting process owners with defining, documenting and improving business processes
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness
- Liaising with certification bodies, customers, suppliers and other relevant stakeholders
- Promoting a risk-based approach to Quality Management
- Deputising for the Quality Manager when required
- Supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities
About You
To be considered for this position, you should ideally have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within quality assurance, compliance or a regulatory environment
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work across different departments and support continuous improvement initiatives
Desirable but not essential:
- Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification
- Experience or knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
