About the Role

Our client, a sophisticated quantitative trading firm, is seeking a talented Quantitative Analyst specializing in cryptocurrency markets to join their team in Oxford . This role involves developing and implementing complex mathematical models and trading strategies for digital assets. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement quantitative models for pricing, risk management, and trading strategies in cryptocurrencies .
• Analyze large datasets to identify market patterns, inefficiencies, and trading opportunities.
• Build and maintain high-frequency trading algorithms and backtesting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with traders and portfolio managers to refine and execute trading strategies.
• Conduct research on new asset classes, market structures, and technological advancements relevant to digital assets .
• Ensure the accuracy and robustness of analytical models and trading systems.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Quantitative Analyst , preferably with exposure to cryptocurrency or financial markets.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or R, with experience in relevant libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy).
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, and financial econometrics.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology and the nuances of digital asset markets.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity for independent research.
