The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a range of high-profile construction projects based in and around Inverness and the wider Scottish Highlands.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of construction projects, working closely with the wider operational and commercial teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from procurement through to final account. Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports. Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and account management. Managing valuations, variations and change control. Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities. Ensuring contractual compliance and effective cost control. Working closely with project managers, site teams and senior commercial management. Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts.

About You

We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have: Experience working within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor. A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes. Experience managing subcontractor packages and project costs. Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills. The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider project team. A proactive and commercially focused approach. Candidates with experience working for a Tier 1 or established main contractor will be particularly attractive. What's on Offer?
