MEP Quantity Surveyor – Intermediate / Senior

Location: Darlington Centre Project: New Build Commercial Office

MEP Value: c. £15m

Duration - 18 months + more work in region following

Hybrid - available - up to 2 days p.w.

We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate or Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join one odf the UK's leading building services contractors, working on a major new-build office development with an M&E value of approximately £15 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MEP QS to take a key commercial role, working closely with the project and commercial teams from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial management of the MEP packages.

*

Subcontract procurement, tendering and negotiation.

*

Managing valuations, payments, variations and final accounts.

*

Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management.

*

Managing change, compensation events and commercial risk.

*

Working closely with the project, engineering and commercial teams.

*

Building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

About You

*

Experience as an MEP / Building Services Quantity Surveyor.

*

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical services.

*

NEC contract experience is desirable ideally NEC3 or NEC4.

*

Experience managing MEP subcontract packages.

*

Good knowledge of cost control, valuations, variations and final accounts.

*

Strong commercial, contractual and negotiation skills.

*

Able to work effectively within a project team.

Applications are welcomed from both Intermediate and Senior MEP Quantity Surveyors. Senior candidates should ideally have experience independently managing significant MEP packages.
