About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage costs and contracts for construction projects. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, ensuring efficient financial management and contract administration. You will play a key role in cost estimation, procurement, and financial reporting, safeguarding the financial health of projects. Your expertise in commercial management will be vital in negotiating contracts, managing variations, and ensuring value for money, contributing to the successful and profitable delivery of construction works in the Milton Keynes area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project cost estimates and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage all aspects of the tendering and procurement process, including contract negotiation.
• Measure and value construction work, processing interim and final payments.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities related to costs and contracts.
• Prepare cost reports and advise on financial performance to project stakeholders.
• Administer various types of construction contracts effectively.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in cost management software and standard contract forms.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
