Quantity Surveyor - London
Project duration: Ongoing
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Site Hours: Flexible (site visits are a must)
UKR Group is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to start ASAP in a job in London.
Responsibilities
- Producing applications for payment in line with contract requirements.
- Pricing simple works using schedules of rates.
- Assisting in CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) reporting and project financial tracking.
- Managing CEMAR portals for NEC infrastructure projects.
- Recording, tracking, and assisting with Variations Orders (VO’s).
- Monitoring and reporting payment status, including contract payments and exceeded costs.
- Supporting commercial and operational teams with project cost management.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
- Attending site visits and liaising with site teams to ensure commercial efficiency.
- Assisting with contract administration and ensuring compliance with NEC contract procedures.
Skills
- Strong understanding of quantity surveying and commercial management within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and infrastructure project processes.
- Experience with CEMAR portals and contract administration systems.
- Good understanding of schedules of rates and pricing works.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident working both on-site and from the office.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and commercial reporting systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within construction and/or demolition sectors.
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
- Understanding of CVR reporting and commercial procedures.
- Experience working on NEC infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Full Right to Work in the UK.
