Real Estate Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Real Estate Development Manager to lead exciting projects in Glasgow, Scotland . This role involves managing the entire development lifecycle, from site acquisition and feasibility studies through to planning, construction, and final project delivery. You will play a key role in identifying new development opportunities and overseeing their successful execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a challenging and rewarding position for a seasoned professional eager to shape the urban landscape of Glasgow and contribute to significant property developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying and evaluating potential development sites and opportunities within the Glasgow area.
• Managing the acquisition process, including due diligence, negotiation, and legal procedures.
• Overseeing the planning and design phases, working with architects, engineers, and planning authorities.
• Appointing and managing contractors and consultants throughout the construction phase.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all quality and regulatory requirements.
• Developing financial models, securing funding, and managing project cash flow.

Requirements

• Significant experience (5+ years) in real estate development project management.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex development projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of the planning process, construction methods, and contract management.
• Excellent financial acumen, including experience with development appraisals and funding structures.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
