Real Estate Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Real Estate Development Manager to lead key development projects in and around Cambridge . This role involves managing the entire development lifecycle, from site acquisition and planning through to construction and sales, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will play a crucial part in shaping the future landscape of Cambridgeshire , working with diverse stakeholders to bring ambitious projects to fruition.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new development opportunities through market research and networking.
• Manage the planning application process, liaising with local authorities and stakeholders.
• Oversee project feasibility studies, financial appraisals, and risk assessments.
• Appoint and manage consultants, contractors, and construction teams throughout the development process.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality specifications in Cambridge .
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, and other project partners.

Requirements

• Significant experience in real estate development or a related field such as construction project management.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex development projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of planning regulations, building codes, and construction processes.
• Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and relevant industry tools.
• A relevant degree in Property Development, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
