About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team, offering a hybrid working model based in Cambridge . You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support on a wide spectrum of real estate transactions, contracts, and disputes. This role demands a deep understanding of property law and a proactive approach to risk management. You will play a vital role in safeguarding the company's interests and facilitating complex property deals, working collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of real estate transactions , including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
• Manage and advise on property-related disputes, litigation, and regulatory matters.
• Conduct legal due diligence on real estate assets and transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with business units to identify and mitigate legal risks associated with real estate operations.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a valid practicing certificate in the UK.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in real estate law , with a strong focus on commercial property.
• Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex real estate agreements.
• Excellent understanding of property development, financing, and land use regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
