Reflective Practice Facilitator

Single Homeless Project has an opportunity for a Reflective Practice Facilitator to join our experienced and committed teams based in London??????. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary starting at £36,947.49 and rising incrementally to £39,511.61 per annum (Pro rata).

We’re London’s leading homelessness charity – and we get things done.

In a city where hundreds are forced into homelessness every day, our work has never been more needed or more challenging. And we’re not shying away. We’re rolling up our sleeves to make change and helping over 10,000 Londoners every year. We prevent homelessness, provide safe places to live and give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives and transform their futures. And we never give up.

We’re here for Londoners wherever they are on their journey. We start with trust, building relationships that help people feel safe, supported, and ready to move forward. Every day, we put people first in everything we do, challenging injustice and barriers that keep people from the safety, stability and opportunity they deserve. We stand alongside people as they rebuild and shape a future that feels their own.

Joining Single Homeless Project means joining a team that’s bold, compassionate and determined to do better for the people we support and for each other. You’ll work alongside colleagues with lived experience, in a space that’s trans-inclusive, disability-friendly, and actively striving to be anti-oppressive and equitable.

We’re not perfect, but we’re real. We listen. We learn. And we push forward, together. Because this isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to lead with empathy, spark change, and help build a London where no one is left behind.

About the Reflective Practice Facilitator role:

Behind every young person finding stability, building confidence and beginning to trust in their future is a team doing demanding, deeply human work. Those teams need space to reflect, process their experiences and feel supported too. As a Reflective Practice Group Facilitator at Single Homeless Project (SHP), you'll help create that space, strengthening the relationships, understanding and approaches that shape young people's experiences of our services.

Working across our Young People's Services (including Greenwich, Lewisham, Camden, Islington, Waltham Forest), you'll establish and facilitate monthly reflective practice groups for frontline staff and managers, creating safe, supportive environments where colleagues can explore challenges, share experiences and think differently about their work. You'll help teams understand the impact of trauma, recognise how emotions and relationships influence their responses, and develop more thoughtful, confident and consistent approaches to supporting young people. This means navigating sensitive conversations, encouraging different perspectives and helping staff feel comfortable reflecting openly, even when the work is challenging.

About you

You have experience facilitating reflective practice groups in helping professions, or you're developing your skills through relevant training in group psychotherapy or reflective practice facilitation.

You bring a relevant qualification in a mental health-related field, such as counselling, psychology or social work, or significant experience supporting young people and understanding the demands of frontline services.

You understand reflective practice, group dynamics and trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches, recognising how relationships, emotions and experiences influence the way people work.

You can create safe, inclusive spaces for honest conversations, navigating sensitive situations, differing perspectives and emotional distress with confidence, empathy and clear professional boundaries.

You are organised, approachable and collaborative, able to build trusting relationships across teams, maintain confidentiality and turn shared reflection into meaningful learning and improvements in practice.
